Library on Gender and Equality

The Library on Gender and Equality (LGE) of the General Secretariat for Gender Equality has been operating since 1984 as an open-access and lending library. LGE collects Greek and other languages documentation, related to issues of gender equality and history of the women's movement. It is open to the public Monday to Friday 09:00 – 15:00 and serves distance users requests via e-mail or fax.

Library’s News

The LGE through the National Strategic Reference Framework (NSRF) carried out lately many projects and offers:

Accessibility (physical and electronic) to People with disabilities

Access to Greek women’ history and feminist movement, through digitized copies from Historical Archive Collection

Access to Grey literature on gender and equality issues, produced by academic and research institutions in Greece, giving Links to full text of available documents through internet

Also, library offers access to the public to the following catalogues:

Catalogue of Greek women’s organizations (active and inactive)

Indicative chronology of Greek women’s history
